The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon Makes its American Debut

2019 Volkswagen Arteon Debut, Features, and Release Date

Volkswagen has a new addition for the American market for the 2019 model-year — the VW Arteon midsize sedan, which is replacing the discontinued VW CC. There’s much to like about the new Arteon, including its athletic design, excellent performance and driving characteristics, comfortable and roomy interior, and many standard and available premium features.

The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon, which made its American debut at the recent Chicago Auto Show, will arrive at dealerships sometime in the summer/early fall of 2018. It will be offered in three grades: SE, SEL, and SEL Premium. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.

[Update: Volkswagen is delaying the release of the 2019 VW Arteon. It’s now expected to arrive at dealerships in early 2019.]

Design Highlights of 2019 Volkswagen Arteon

While the 2019 Arteon is the successor to the Volkswagen CC and shares some of its premium qualities, it differentiates from it with its more athletic design, with a wide and planted stance, as well as a more coupe-like profile. Exterior design highlights include a rear decklid spoiler, LED headlights and taillights, frameless side windows, and a chrome grille.

The 2019 Volkswagen Arteon delivers an exhilarating driving experience with its 2.0-liter turbocharged TSI engine, which generates 268-hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. All VW Arteon grades come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission, as well as the 4Motion all-wheel drive system.
